Mumbles Cafe
Please Note: Mumbles Cafe is presently closed for alterations. The following describes what to expect when we re-open in November.
Mumbles Cafe is a small tea and coffee shop set in the delightful rural setting of the Preston Valley, in the south west of Western Australia (see map). Entry to the small shop is through an alfresco area, part of which is semi enclosed for protection against the elements. The remainder wraps around an old concrete water tank and is protected by shade sails; this area commands a pleasant view of the small lake with its gazebo and is a perfect spot to while away a lazy afternoon.
As well as delicious freshly ground coffee and a variety of teas, we serve home-made cakes and desserts to die for, and big fluffy scones with cream and home made jam. Please note that we no longer provide lunches, although savoury options are always available.
You can also be tempted by our range of "Mumbiessence" natural soap and skin care products (see web page). Although these have been around for a few years and available through this web site, a web site does not offer potential buyers the luxury of testing the products on their own skin or savouring their beautiful fragrances (fragrance-free variants of many products are available for those with really sensitive skin). We know how good Mumbiessence is because it is all made right here and we know what goes into it; our whole family uses it and our customers keep coming back for more. Try it out while enjoying your coffee and ask yourself if you're not paying too much for whatever you're using now.
Opening hours are Saturdays and Sundays, 10am to 5pm. There are only two of us - please call ahead if you intend to come as part of a group. It's not a bad idea to call ahead anyway if you're making a special trip; for various reasons there are occasions when we may not open as expected.
We hope to see you soon!
